But have you heard about minimalist dinners?
What are Minimalist Dinners?
Minimalist cooking is a style of cooking that aims to simplify meals. Minimalist Dinner applies the same concepts of minimalist cooking to create quick and simple dinner recipes that will fit everyone’s schedule.
Quick dinners that follow a simple recipe with simple ingredients enable anyone to eat well without sacrificing too much time in the kitchen. That makes them the perfect option for busy entrepreneurs, parents, and even students who pay careful attention to their schedules.
How to plan quick dinners?
You can plan quick dinners that offer you the variety and practicality you need using minimalist cooking principles. Here are some tips from Frugal Minimalist Kitchen to keep in mind:
- Cook in Batches – meal planning can help you save time in the kitchen by cooking food in batches. Using variations of the same food during the week allows you to leverage batches and prepare meals together. If rice or potatoes are a family staple, cooking a bigger batch will ensure you have enough for the next day without spending more time in the kitchen. Less cooking and cleaning time, more healthy dinners.
- Embrace the leftovers – time to put your leftovers to work for you. You can use leftovers to plan your next day’s meal and prepare a quick dinner. For example, if you have vegetables and rice leftover, why not plan a burrito dinner for the next day?
- Use “hands-off” options – using hands-off options for cooking is another way to introduce quick dinners into your schedule. Using a crockpot or slow cooker, you can prepare larger batches of food and keep it warm without spending extra time in the kitchen.
